  • Overview

    The Funding Exceptions Analyst is responsible for assisting dealers in resolving lease funding issues, and/or following GM Financial procedures and requirements. The ultimate objective is to provide excellent service that will meet the needs of both the company (GM Financial) and customer (dealers).


    This position will be a 1 year contract assignment.


    Job Duties


    Funding Exceptions Support (60%)

    • To assist dealers in solving daily funding exceptions/issues regarding GM Financial lease contracts, by providing professional customer service.
    • Attend to inbound calls quickly and effectively.
    • Train dealers to correctly follow GM Financial procedures and requirements.
    • Entering notes into the system and making outbound calls to assist dealers including  gathering missing/corrected documentation needed to process transactions.
    • Manage more complex funding/program issues with lease transactions through working with the GMF sales team and dealer representatives

    Recording daily transaction (30%)

    • Process general administration and recording daily transactions.
    • To gather information to build reports on a regular basis.

    Training new Hires (5%)

    • Occasionally training new hires 

    Miscellaneous (5%)

    • Other duties assigned to them i.e. testing new programs.



    Reports to: Funding Exceptions Manager

    Direct Reports: None





    • High school diploma required.
    • College degree preferred



    • Excellent report writing and communication skills (written and verbal).


    • Good English and French verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Good organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to work independently and on a team on multiple projects    
    • Possess analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
