  • Overview

    The Global Infrastructure Solutions Architect will work with Project Managers, Technology Leaders and Business System Analysts to provide technical guidance and project coordination to support security and infrastructure changes to the GMF environment. This individual will need to identify which projects will require infrastructure or security involvement and determine what area of support to engage. They will attend project meetings when necessary and assist in gathering and documenting infrastructure and security requirements. This person needs to be very experienced in technology with planning and coordination skills. An energetic, solution minded personality with drive, attention to details and excellent communication skills will be needed for success in this position.



    • Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the artifacts as needed
    • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
    • A strong knowledge of infrastructure design and implementations is a must
    • Must have high attention to detail, be well organized and be a self-starter
    • Create and maintain network, server and security diagrams
    • Create infrastructure and security requirements for projects
    • Review requirements with the infrastructure and security teams
    • Work with the infrastructure and security teams to manage resources for projects
    • Collaborate with Project Management, Architecture, BSA and Business Teams
    • Works closely with technical staff to develop solutions to new or changing business objectives



    • Advanced knowledge in Infrastructure design and management
    • Detail oriented
    • Experience with UML Design Tools
    • High level understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
    • Infrastructure design and management
    • Knowledge of IT security processes and controls as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
    • Local and wide area networking concepts, principles and protocols
    • Strong understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
    • Strong working knowledge of Intel platforms, iSeries and pSeries servers
    • TCP/IP, OSI model and imp subnetting
    • Understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
    • Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes
    • Understanding of routing and switching protocols as they relate to load balancing


    • Ability to approach problems with an open-mind, use existing information and resources
    • Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions
    • Advanced technical writing
    • Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately, and intelligently
    • Experience in documentation tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office products
    • Experience with Network and VLAN segmentation
    • Foster open communication, speaks with impact, listens to others, and writes effectively
    • IT security processes and controls knowledge as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Think positively when faced with obstacles, build on others ideas, think logically and intuitively


    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred


    • 3-5 Years ​ Infrastructure Architecture experience or five plus years experience in IT preferred
