The Remarketing Solutions Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of reporting, research and data mining initiatives related to GM Financial and GMCL vehicle portfolios. The analyst will gather data from various sources while exercising confidentiality in all aspects.



Job Duties

Internal/External Reporting (70%)

  • Ensure all departmental reports are prepared accurately within the Department Guidelines
  • Communicate and Interact both written and verbally with various entities internally and externally
  • Working with a high volume of data (data mining and querying data warehouses)
  • Work on Automating or streamlining processes
  • Report on auction placement and pricing
  • Support department data management, analysis, and reporting for all Canadian lease and fleet products

Analyze (10%)

  • Create and update statistical data for the Remarketing Department including projection, return rates, gains/losses.
  • Analyze historical automobile values and assess forecasting performance
  • Report current auction trends and product positioning to refine pricing process
  • Develop monthly residual risk assessments
  • Develop, analyze and summarize ad hoc reports for management 


  • Support and assist other team members on assigned projects
  • Research and provide data on how economic/market conditions and vehicle attributes impact auction performance
  • Participate in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma required


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, data mining, statistics, and forecasting
  • Experience working with database management in Excel/Office
  • Minimum 2 years work-related experience
  • 1 – 2 Data mining experience involving a high volume of data


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and follow-up skills
  • Ability to use appropriate analysis, judgment and logic when solving problems and making business decisions
  • Ability to relate to others, build relationships and constructively interact with a variety of people and situations
