Overview

The Remarketing Solutions Account Specialist is responsible for and will assist with the administration of the GM Company/Rental Buyback/Manufacturer Repurchase Program and/or any other Remarketing Program in which GM Financial has responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION ( 35%)

  • Work with Program Administrators in the remarketing management of Vehicle Fleet
  • Assist Penske Vehicle Services (GM Internal Company vehicles management company) where required
  • Communicate with auctions, dealers and Daily Rental Companies for issues related to administration of their responsibilities
  • Assist with and Administer Dealer Incentive Program.

AUDIT (20%)

  • Identify/audit records ensuring all documents/funds are received to fully complete the sale/transaction
  • Review and audit Sales and Expense documents as required
  • Daily audit and update of RIMS (General Motors Remarketing/Inventory System), or any other system required to meet the job responsibilities

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT (35%)

  • Dispose inventory in RIMS or any other system
  • Create Bill of Sales, POA (Power of Attorney), Lien Releases, Cover Letters, if necessary.
  • Track and monitor units in inventory.                  
  • Assist the Asset Remarketing Representatives to ensure Auction Sales run smoothly.

MISCELLANEOUS (10%)

  • Assist with escalation calls
  • Train new employees as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, excellence and integrity

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to: Team Leader Asset Remarketing

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred

Experience

  • 2- 3 years Automotive Industry experience
  • 1-2 years Remarketing/Fleet Management experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of OEM Company/Rental Buyback/Manufacturer Repurchase, Auction Sales Process, Vehicle Sales transactions
  • Awareness of various provincial requirements (for example, Motor Vehicle Dealer Act, taxes, vehicle registrations, etc.)              
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Organized and capable of handling large volumes of work.            
  • Strong Communication skills.            
  • Aptitude to calculate funds received, and mathematical calculations.            
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to changes in processes and systems.
  • Strong skills in managing a database.
  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
